I work at Cornell Cooperative Extension, on campus here in Ithaca, New York. My official role is distance learning consultant, though I am also actively working on a narrative history of the work of extension in New York state.

I am also, less officially, the technology consultant for Planting Hope. I have been to San Ramon 3 times in the past year and have worked with some of the university students who are involved in the library at La Chispa to establish the computing infrastructure and develop the cyber cafe. I have a longer term goal of developing a program called the Tec-Nica Learning Exchange that will establish mentor relations between technical students in Nicaragua and Professionals and Practitioners here in the states to further the educational aspirations of Nicaraguan students.
